Manukyan to Freeze His Political Activities in the Civil Contract Party if Elected as a Member of the RRC

The candidate for the position of a member of the Television and Radio Commission, Arthur Manukyan, assures that if elected, he will be impartial and will freeze his activities in the party.

According to Armenpress, Manukyan made this statement during the discussion of his candidacy in the National Assembly. Sona Ghazaryan, a member of the Civil Contract faction, reminded that Arthur Manukyan is a party member of the 'Civil Contract' party and that if elected, he cannot remain party-affiliated in an independent body.

She inquired about what Manukyan would do in this situation. 'If I am elected, I will suspend my party activities in accordance with the law. I will also swear from the podium that I will be impartial and will act outside the political vision of the party,' said Manukyan.

The candidate noted that although the oath may not mean much to some, it sincerely means a lot to him, assuring that if he swears to be impartial, he will indeed be impartial.
