It is Necessary to Launch the Work of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Border Delimitation Commission as Soon as Possible

Russia is ready to provide advisory support to Baku and Yerevan on issues of delimitation and demarcation. This was stated in a message issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry in response to media inquiries.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, consistent efforts are being made to stabilize the situation at the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, where incidents involving the use of weapons occur from time to time, resulting in casualties.

"It is necessary to form and launch the work of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border delimitation commission as soon as possible," the statement reads.

Addressing the issue of Armenian prisoners, the Foreign Ministry noted that Russia is actively participating in resolving this problem, and through the mediation of Russian peacekeepers, a total of 146 detained individuals have been returned, with 127 to the Armenian side and 19 to the Azerbaijani side.
