Defense Minister Suren Papikyan Takes 5-Day Leave: His Wedding is Tomorrow
By the decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Armenia's Defense Minister Suren Papikyan has been granted a 5-day leave. The text of the decision published on the government’s website states:
“Guided by part 16 of Article 9 of the Law on Public Service, part 13 of Article 10 of the Law on Regulating Administrative Relations, and parts 1 and 4 of Article 18 of the Law on the Structure and Activities of the Government,”
“1. Grant Suren Papikyan, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, the annual leave for the 2021-2022 working year, from January 21 to 25, 2022, inclusive.”
“2. During Suren Papikyan's leave, he will be replaced by Arman Sargsyan, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.”
It is noteworthy that on January 22, Suren Papikyan's wedding will take place at the “Paravon” restaurant complex. According to media reports, following the marriage, Papikyan will live with his wife in one of the government residences.
Additionally, Suren Papikyan will turn 36 on April 26. His chosen partner, Armine Muradyan, was his spokesperson when he served as the Minister of Territorial Administration. She currently works at the Armenian Territorial Development Fund.
