Yerevan Municipality Responds to Reports of Animal Deaths in Zoo

The Yerevan Zoo's normal operations have not been disrupted, and reports of animal deaths due to starvation do not correspond to reality. In response to an inquiry from Armenpress, the Yerevan Municipality stated, "The zoo regularly registers natural animal deaths and births, and reports are periodically submitted to the relevant authorities. In recent months, there have been no suspicious animal deaths registered, except for two white-tailed eagles, which were found to be suffering from chronic poisoning according to professional examinations."

It was also noted that samples have been sent for laboratory toxicological analysis for a final conclusion, which will only be possible once the results are received. Currently, the zoo houses 21 white-tailed eagles.
