We Have Presented the Proposals to Baku in Writing, No Response Yet: Security Council Secretary
The package of proposals presented by Armenia to Azerbaijan regarding delimitation and demarcation is generally about creating favorable conditions at the border to start the processes of delimitation and demarcation, Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan said to journalists after a meeting of the executive body.
"This concerns the mirrored withdrawal of troops, the deployment of border troops along the border, taking into account the maps that existed during the Soviet Union," Grigoryan elaborated.
He stated that the proposals have been presented to Baku in writing, and at this point, there has been no response.
It is worth recalling that Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan announced that the Armenian side has prepared and conveyed a package of measures aimed at de-escalation of the situation in the Armenia-Azerbaijan border area, reducing tensions, and raising the level of security and stability to the Russian side, and, through the mediation of the Russian side, to Azerbaijan.
