Possible Increase in Liquefied Gas Prices: MP

The MP from the "Armenia" faction, Tadevos Avetisyan, announced today during a conversation with journalists that we are about to witness an increase in liquefied gas prices. According to the MP, this is mainly due to three factors. Firstly, Armenia does not produce liquefied gas and imports it for domestic consumption, and there is a certain price increase in those markets. "Here we will witness a new increase in liquefied gas prices," stated Tadevos Avetisyan.

According to him, the second factor is that the Armenian market is objectively small, and the degree of import monopoly remains high. "The fact that the names of importing companies change does not automatically mean that competition is increasing. The small market and high degree of monopolization also affect the price," he emphasized, adding that the fourth factor is the oversight of regulatory bodies over highly monopolized markets. "These three main factors exist today, and they will lead to an increase in liquefied gas prices. Additionally, we must add another negative phenomenon that will soon hit - the increase in natural gas prices," said Tadevos Avetisyan.
