Keeping Armen Charutyun under Arrest was Illegal: Defense Attorney

We have just received a copy of the conclusion from the pre-investigation committee examination concerning Armen Charutyun. According to the findings, the diagnosis established during the examination aligns with the classification of severe illnesses that disrupt the carrying out of arrest or punishment as per the Government of the Republic of Armenia's decision No. 825-N dated May 26, 2006. This significantly obstructs the legality of his detention.

This was reported by Armen Charutyun’s attorney, Erik Aleksanyan, on his Facebook page. “Dear compatriots, this further confirms that keeping Armen Charutyun under arrest from June 23, 2021, to December 10, 2021, was illegal,” wrote Aleksanyan.
