David Tonoyan Presents New Demand
David Tonoyan's legal team has issued a statement confirming that prior to the first court session scheduled for January 19, Mr. Tonoyan reiterates his previous statement regarding the criminal case against him. He demands open court sessions to ensure the public examination of the criminal case.
The quantity of supplied missiles, their purchase price, types, delivery periods, and other aspects of the case have already been disclosed through statements and publications by the pre-trial body and the prosecution. Therefore, there can no longer be any discussion about state security or the necessity of closed court sessions. We believe that conducting closed sessions will be an attempt to conceal the absence of evidence in the criminal case and the insubstantiality of the prosecution’s claims.
Furthermore, the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia and various circles have tried to artificially link this criminal case with the 44-day war. Thus, David Tonoyan deems it essential to clarify and refute this circumstance through public examination of the criminal case.
