The State Should Recognize Citizens' Non-formal and Informal Education: Sisak Gabrielyan

Draft legislation aimed at regulating the implementation of additional educational programs was discussed during a National Assembly session on January 17. Sisak Gabrielyan, a member of the ruling 'Civil Contract' party, announced that the proposal seeks to create conditions for recognizing citizens' non-formal and informal education.

According to Gabrielyan, the legislative initiative aims to address the issue of recognizing any knowledge and skills acquired by citizens throughout their lives. 'We are attempting to regulate the implementation of additional educational programs. For instance, employees sometimes undergo retraining courses. However, this is not documented in any legal documents,' Gabrielyan clarified. In this regard, a national register will be established to oversee the entire process.
