Video: People Lying with Fractures in the Hallways, St. Petersburg Has Turned into an Ice Rink
This weekend, people with fractures are lying in the hallways of the Jenalidz'e Emergency Institute in St. Petersburg. It has been reported that waiting time in the emergency department lasts several hours.
Residents of St. Petersburg say similar situations are occurring in other trauma centers. The issue is that the city has turned into a natural ice rink. Activists in the Kolomna district have even started the "Proposesochka" initiative. They have bought 250 kilograms of sand and offered city residents to sprinkle the streets themselves, as municipal services are unable to cope.
“It is clear that this is not a systemic solution, but otherwise, it is impossible to walk on the streets,” say residents.
