Gazprom Armenia to Seek Review of Gas Prices

«Gazprom Armenia» company intends to apply to the Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia with a request to review gas prices. This was stated in the official announcements on the Azdarar.am website.

It is noted that according to the agreement signed between «Gazprom Armenia» and «Gazprom Export» for the delivery of natural gas to the Republic of Armenia from 2014 to 2021, the actual price of natural gas delivered to Armenia has been set at $165 per thousand cubic meters as of April 1, 2022, under the condition of a lower heating value of 7900 kcal/m³, and $177.53 per thousand cubic meters under the condition of a lower heating value of 8500 kcal/m³.

“At the same time, if the actual monthly average weighted value of the lower heating value of natural gas is higher or lower than 8500 kcal/m³, the price will accordingly change directly proportionally to that change. In this regard, to ensure the delivery of natural gas to the Republic of Armenia by «Gazprom Export» LLC, «Gazprom Armenia» LLC intends to apply to the Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia with a request to review the gas prices sold to consumers in the Republic of Armenia,” the announcement states.
