Court Hearing on Robert Kocharyan vs. Nikol Pashinyan Underway

Today, January 13, at the Kanaker court of general jurisdiction in Yerevan, presided over by Judge Sergey Sahakyan, the court hearing in the case of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, against Nikol Pashinyan and the Republic of Armenia is taking place.

It should be noted that the civil lawsuit pertains to defamatory remarks made by Nikol Pashinyan during a rally held in Republic Square on March 1 of last year. In April, Robert Kocharyan's lawyer, Hayk Alumyann, filed a suit demanding protection of honor and dignity due to the publicly expressed defamation, as well as compensation for non-material damage caused by the defamation.
