AstraZeneca's Third Dose Effective Against Omicron

The Anglo-Swedish company AstraZeneca presented preliminary data from its Vaxzevria COVID-19 vaccine trial on Thursday, indicating that the third dose generates a higher level of antibodies against Omicron and other variants. This was reported by Reuters.

It was noted that a greater response was observed in individuals who had previously been vaccinated with either Vaxzevria or an mRNA (Moderna) vaccine.

Studies lasting one month have shown that the third dose of the vaccine is effective against the rapidly spreading variant of coronavirus.
