All Steps Being Taken to Return Shepherd, Ministry of Defense States

As reported earlier, Azerbaijani individuals have kidnapped a 53-year-old shepherd from the Tegh community in the Syunik region along with his sheep. This was stated by Arqam Hovsepyan, the head of the Aravus community, in an interview with NEWS.am.

"Presumably, while grazing the sheep, he gradually walked towards the border. Our side is on one side of the border, and they are on the other; he crossed the border, and they immediately came down and took him. The shepherd has 1,000 sheep divided into two groups; he probably had about 500 sheep with him," Hovsepyan said.

Hovsepyan also noted that negotiations will be conducted with the Russian side for the return of the Tegh resident. The Ministry of Defense confirmed to Auroranews that all necessary steps are being taken to return the shepherd.
