The Newspaper Published False Information About Ara Aivazian: Spokesman Clarifies

The newspaper "Chorrord Ishkhanutyun (CI)" has published information that bears no relation to reality and is entirely false concerning Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian. Ara Aivazian and his wife have never purchased the furniture set mentioned in the publication titled "Has Ara Aivazian Become a Millionaire Living with a Budget? What Brand Does the Foreign Minister Rely On?" on the CI website.

This was stated by Vahan Hunanian, the spokesperson for the Armenian Foreign Minister, on his Facebook page.

“Moreover, the claim made in the publication that the Foreign Ministry left the newspaper's written inquiry regarding the issue unanswered is absolutely baseless. The Armenian Foreign Ministry responded to the inquiry within the legally stipulated time frame (a photo of the response is attached). It is simply absurd that the newspaper has presented the supposed lack of response from the Foreign Ministry as a justification for its false information,” he stated.

“We hope that this was not done with the malicious intent to tarnish Ara Aivazian’s good reputation with false information, but rather due to a lack of journalistic professionalism and ignorance of basic rules of logic. We announce that we will demand a denial from CI, and if our demand is not met, we will utilize other legal measures stipulated by the laws of Armenia,” the spokesman wrote.
