Grigor Minasyan Appointed Deputy Minister of Justice
Grigor Minasyan, brother of former Armenian ambassador to Venice Mikhail Minasian, has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Justice by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's decision on January 12.
According to Article 9, Part 1 of the Law on Public Service of the Republic of Armenia, Grigor Minasyan has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Justice.
Grigor Minasyan holds a candidate of legal sciences degree and is a member of the Armenian Bar Association. He has been managing the law firm 'AM' since its establishment. He has also been a founding member of 'Lex Partners' law firm and has led the company since 2009.
Since 2011, he has served as the official representative of the Republic of Armenia in the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) based in Athens, where he is also a member of the board of directors of this prestigious international legal institution.
Grigor Minasyan graduated from the law faculty of the Armenian-Russian (Slavonic) University and studied at the Armenian State University of Economics from 2005 to 2008. Between 2004 and 2008, he held various positions in several units of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, performing both expert and managerial work.
He has concurrently taught at the Legal Institute of the Ministry of Justice and headed the department of law at the institute. From 2005 to 2011, he served as the editor-in-chief of the 'Justice' scientific journal.
Grigor Minasyan is the brother of Mikhail Minasyan, the former Armenian ambassador to the Holy See.
