Fog and Snow: Current Road Conditions

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia. The road from Amberd Fortress to K'ari Lake in the Aragatsotn Province is closed. The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to traverse for trucks with trailers (snow chains are required).

On the Yerevan-Sevan road, there is fog in the Talin region of Aragatsotn Province, near the city of Ashtarak. In the city of Gyumri in Shirak Province, snow is falling in the regions of Ashotzk and Amasia as well as in Talin region of Aragatsotn Province.

According to information received from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open to all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
