Aragatsotn Governor to Be Dismissed from Position
The Governor of Aragatsotn, Razmik Petrosyan, will be dismissed from his position. This issue is included in the agenda for tomorrow's government meeting and is among the non-reporting matters. This information is reported by armeniasputnik.am.
Notably, the appointment of a new governor is also listed among the non-reporting matters. Petrosyan will be replaced by Sergey Movsisyan in the position of Aragatsotn governor.
It is important to remember that Razmik Petrosyan was appointed as the Governor of Aragatsotn about three months ago, on October 28, 2021. Prior to that, he was appointed as the Deputy Governor of Aragatsotn on October 30, 2020.
Petrosyan is one of the leaders of the Artsakh Movement, having joined the Aparan volunteer detachment in January 1990 and served as the deputy commander of the special forces' Aparan company.
As for Sergey Movsisyan, it was announced on January 4 of this year that he was resigning from his parliamentary mandate (with the ruling party, Civil Contract).
