Several Armenian Citizens Express Desire to Leave Kazakhstan

Several Armenian citizens currently in Kazakhstan have approached the Armenian Embassy seeking assistance to leave the country due to the prevailing situation there. This information was provided to 'Pastinfo' by Vahan Hunanian, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

“A few citizens have requested our embassy to assist them with the issue of leaving the country. Our embassy is taking the necessary steps to support them,” said Hunanian.

The spokesperson clarified that the request concerns two to three Armenian citizens who do not permanently reside in Armenia but have asked for help to exit the country. Hunanian did not specify the mechanisms being considered for getting the citizens out of Kazakhstan. When questioned whether they plan to relocate to Armenia, Hunanian responded that two of the citizens do not wish to return to Armenia.

“The application was received yesterday evening and this morning. They now need to assess and understand how they will proceed. In the case of the two individuals, they do not wish to come to Armenia,” he added. According to the spokesperson, there are no large-scale evacuation plans for Armenian citizens from Kazakhstan.
