Weapons and Drugs Discovered During Apartment Search

On January 8, information was received at the Vagharshapat police department indicating that a 30-year-old man was illegally storing weapons and drugs in his home. On the same day, a criminal case was initiated.

According to the police, on January 9, within the framework of the criminal case, a search was conducted at the man’s residence and accompanying auxiliary structures, following a court order at 10:00 AM.

During the search, the owner of the apartment presented a pistol loaded with 12 9mm cartridges, a Saiga-type rifled shotgun loaded with 2 magazines, and two containers filled with a substance resembling marijuana. The items were packaged and sealed.

The man was taken to the Vagharshapat police department and arrested. Chemical and forensic examinations have been ordered. An investigation is underway.
