Turkey and Azerbaijan's Calculations Have Become Mixed Up, Says Tigran Abrahamyan

Member of the National Assembly from the "Honorary Duty" faction, Tigran Abrahamyan, made a noteworthy post: "The events occurring in Kazakhstan are being presented in a rather interesting light by the Azerbaijani and Turkish media. In the early days of the Kazakh crisis, Azerbaijan mainly provided dry news, but after the CSTO rapid response forces were deployed to Kazakhstan, Azerbaijani websites and Telegram channels, which are clearly under state control, have not only launched an anti-Russian campaign but also directed a campaign against the Kazakh authorities.

Turkey and Azerbaijan's regional calculations have become mixed up, and they are, forgetting Kazakhstan, which has close and multifaceted deep relations with them, targeting Kazakhstan with varying doses of anti-propaganda.

There has also been a certain change in the signals coming from the EU, the USA, and NATO, which are fundamentally about the deployment of CSTO forces in Kazakhstan, involving them in ongoing processes, and remaining there for the long term.

However, it is clear that in reality, the processes are much deeper, and there is a problem of control over areas of influence and critical communications. It is now clear that after the events in Kazakhstan, forces operating in the Eurasian region will be making adjustments to their policies and the processes will now unfold under a different logic."
