How Many Peacekeepers Are Deployed in Kazakhstan and What Are They Doing: Tokayev Details

In Kazakhstan, there are 2,300 CSTO peacekeepers and 250 units of military equipment deployed, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reported during an online conference of CSTO member states. According to him, the peacekeepers are responsible for securing the airport, military warehouses, and other strategic sites.

Earlier, the CSTO Secretary General announced plans to send 2,500 military personnel to Kazakhstan.
