Georgia Evacuates Its Citizens from Kazakhstan

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, addressed the fate of Georgian citizens in Kazakhstan during today’s government meeting.

“Regarding Georgian citizens in Kazakhstan, the Georgian diplomatic representation has maintained constant online communication with them and has provided necessary assistance on-site. As a result of the government’s active efforts, some have already returned to Georgia. The embassy continues to keep in active contact with Georgian citizens still in Kazakhstan and offers help as needed. In the coming days, they will return to Georgia,” said Prime Minister Garibashvili, according to the news outlet ‘Georgia Online’.

Irakli Garibashvili expressed hope that all efforts will be made in the coming days to alleviate tensions in Kazakhstan.
