Entry of Unvaccinated or Untested Individuals to Certain Places Will Be Restricted Starting From January 23
The order No. 02-N of the Minister of Health of Armenia has been published, amending the order No. 17-N dated August 4, 2020.
According to the order, customers of hotels, gymnasiums, visitors to libraries, museums, and audiences of organizations engaged in theatrical, concert, cinema, and other cultural activities must present either a testing or vaccination certificate when entering the specified places, via a QR code through a mobile application or a printed version extracted from the mobile application.
This requirement does not apply to pregnant women, individuals with absolute contraindications, and those who have previously contracted COVID-19, provided they have a positive PCR test result that is no more than 90 days old.
The order specifies that visitors (except for individuals under 18 years old who present an identity document, pregnant women who provide a medical document regarding pregnancy, individuals who have a documented absolute contraindication, and those previously infected with COVID-19 who present a certificate from the Unified Electronic Health Information ARM-ED system showing a positive PCR test result within 90 days) can only enter with a certificate that is maximum 72 hours old, or a negative result of a rapid diagnostic test for the COVID-19 pathogen certified by the World Health Organization, dated within 24 hours, as issued by the Unified Electronic Health Information ARM-ED system according to the requirements of the Minister of Health's order No. 4379-L dated December 10, 2020, or with a vaccination certificate presented via QR code through a mobile application or a printed version extracted from the mobile application.
The order has come into effect since January 8, and the specified restrictions will start to apply from January 23.
