Armenian Ex-Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan's Detention Extended by 2 Months

The detention of former Armenian Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan has been extended by an additional two months. Hovsepyan has been in the Yerevan Central Penitentiary for four months.

According to law enforcement officials, during his tenure in office, Hovsepyan legalized over 1.3 billion drams, participated in the management of several companies engaged in entrepreneurial activities, received a particularly large bribe of 190 million drams, and fraudulently embezzled property worth 800 million drams. In total, the amounts in question amount to approximately 4 million 580 thousand dollars.
