Another close associate of Pabikyan in the Ministry of Defense: New assistant is 23 years old

The Minister of Defense of Armenia, Suren Pabikyan, continues to place close associates in the ministry. He has appointed Mane Markosyan as his assistant, who was previously designated as the assistant to the Deputy Prime Minister in August 2021, a role that was fulfilled by Pabikyan himself at that time.

The young assistant to the Minister of Defense has also served as the assistant to the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia. According to 168.am, “Without casting doubt on Markosyan’s professional abilities, it should be noted that the defense sector is specific and requires certain skills. Thus, at the age of 23, it is premature for someone to issue directives to experienced personnel and military members based on the Minister of Defense’s documents, not to mention filtering their communications directed at the Minister.”

“On the other hand, in the absence of a military background, the presence of the Minister’s assistant in this context is, essentially, natural and not surprising at all. Additionally, according to the information we have received, the Ministry of Defense assistant Mane Markosyan was a student of Suren Pabikyan.”
