What Will Happen to Armenians in Kazakhstan if Our Forces Shoot at Anyone: Daniel Ioanissian
Daniel Ioanissian, the founder of the "Civil Society of Informed Citizens" NGO, wrote on his Facebook page: "Armenia has included a paratrooper unit in the contingent sent to Kazakhstan, which, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will be engaged in the 'protection' of strategic objects. So, two questions:
1. Why are we sending not police forces or at least only a peacekeeping brigade unit, but a paratrooper assault unit?
2. What will our troops (including the paratrooper assault) do if demonstrators approach the strategic object they have been assigned to protect? The troops have neither batons nor tear gas... So what, will our forces fire on Kazakh demonstrators?
3. Have we thought about our diaspora in Kazakhstan? Can you imagine what will happen to Armenians in Kazakhstan if our forces shoot at anyone there... Or do not shoot, but misinformation spreads that they did?
P.S. The troops that participated in the fiercest battles of the Artsakh war are going to protect the dictator who congratulated on 'Azerbaijan's victory.'"
