VIDEO: Those Who Do Not Surrender Will Be Destroyed - Tokayev
The leader of Kazakhstan, Tokayev, announced that Kazakhstan will conclude its operations against militants, stating, "Those who do not surrender will be destroyed."
It is worth noting that Tokayev also mentioned that constitutional order has been largely restored in all regions of the country and local authorities are in control of the situation.
On January 7, this was reported by the press service of the head of state, summarizing the results of the anti-terrorist headquarters meeting.
"An anti-terror operation has begun. Law enforcement forces are working diligently. Constitutional order has been largely restored in all regions of the country. Local authorities are in control of the situation. However, terrorists are still using weapons and causing damage to citizens' property. Therefore, anti-terror operations must continue until the complete destruction of the militants," Tokayev stated.
During the meeting, the acting ministers of internal affairs and defense, as well as the head of the National Security Committee, reported on the situation.
"As reported by the leaders of law enforcement agencies, units of the CSTO peacekeeping forces have begun to arrive in Kazakhstan to assist in restoring order. This contingent has arrived for a limited period, mainly for the protection and security of strategic facilities," the press service clarified.
The President of Kazakhstan also issued a series of directives aimed at further stabilizing the situation in the country, according to TASS.
