VIDEO: We are seeing an increase in flu circulation, Avanesyan on H1N3

Since November, we have been recording an increase in flu circulation. The situation has stabilized quite well over the past 10 days, reported the Minister of Health of Armenia Anahit Avanesyan during a government meeting, expressing hope that a noticeable decline will be observed.

The minister assured that hospitals are prepared to cope with the flu circulation. Currently, 595 citizens have been hospitalized due to the flu, and 95 percent of them are children under the age of 18.

“Since September, the flu vaccine for this year’s strains has been available in Armenia, and there is no contraindication for citizens to receive the flu vaccine simultaneously with the coronavirus vaccine,” noted Anahit Avanesyan.
