190 individuals have sought medical assistance in Almaty due to protests occurring in the city. The Public Health Department of the megacity announced this on January 5.

"190 individuals have approached medical facilities, with 150 being transported by ambulance and 40 arriving independently. 40 people have been hospitalized, including seven victims in the intensive care unit, four of whom are police officers," the statement said.

According to the department, among the injured are 137 police officers and 53 civilians. It was also noted that protesters have attacked an ambulance vehicle in Almaty.

The local health department reported that protesters are exhibiting aggressive behavior, rushing to clinics and hospitals, breaking windows, damaging equipment, and blocking ambulances on the roads. Reports indicate that five staff members, including two drivers and three doctors, have been injured. Two ambulances have been completely destroyed.
