No Armenian citizens injured in Kazakhstan at this time, MFA reports
According to the Armenian Embassy in Kazakhstan, there are currently no reports of Armenian citizens injured as a result of the ongoing events in the country. This was stated to Armenpress by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Vahan Hunanyan.
It is noteworthy that mass protests have started in Kazakhstan at the beginning of the year, triggered by an increase in gas prices. Although the government had promised to maintain the price in response to the protesters' demands, the demonstrations have not ceased across the country.
On the morning of January 5, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev accepted the resignation of the government. A state of emergency has been declared throughout Kazakhstan.
