Just spoke with representatives of the Armenian community in Kazakhstan: Arman Abovyan

The authorities of Armenia must be prepared to evacuate Armenians in Kazakhstan if necessary, writes Arman Abovyan, a member of the political council of the Prosperous Armenia Party.

“I just spoke with representatives of the Armenian community in Kazakhstan. They are not mixing up with each other. They are calm. They say that the main events are taking place in southern Kazakhstan. As of now, it seems that there are no injuries or (God forbid) casualties among locals. However, the information is very preliminary as connections throughout Kazakhstan are working poorly. Nevertheless, the situation is extremely tense. In any case, the authorities of Armenia must be prepared to evacuate Armenians in Kazakhstan if necessary,” Abovyan wrote on his Facebook page.
