Armenian-Made 'Sputnik Light' Now in Use

Armenia's existing vaccines against the coronavirus have been supplemented with a new one: the 'Sputnik Light' vaccine, produced in Armenia using viral vector technology. This vaccine is intended to be administered only as a booster dose.

This information has been reported by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia. The vaccine is indicated for individuals aged 18 and over for the prevention of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The Ministry has reiterated that individuals aged 18 and over, particularly those in high-risk groups, can receive the booster dose six months after their second dose of the coronavirus vaccine. This is expected to provide enhanced protection, especially in the context of the ongoing spread of the 'Omicron' variant worldwide.
