Man Wanted for 23 Years Detained at Zvartnots Airport

A man who has been wanted since 1998 was located on December 31, following the arrival of a flight.

The police announced that on December 31, at 18:20, officers from the Zvartnots Airport Line Division detained Robert Kh. after the arrival of the Rostov-Yerevan flight. He had been wanted by law enforcement agencies of Turkmenistan since June 9, 1998, on charges of applying violence against detainees in prison or temporary detention facilities, as per Article 213, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of that country.

The measure of restraint imposed was detention. The authorities have been informed of Robert Kh.'s apprehension, including the prosecutor's office and the initiator of the wanted notice.
