Journalist Mkrtich Israelian wrote on his Facebook page:
“Life is composed of joy and sorrow. Without one, the other would lose its meaning. The essence of human life is shaped by moments of sorrow and joy, by loss and gain. Over the past year, Armenia and the people living here have perhaps faced the most clashes between the parallel worlds of life. It is difficult to look at Yerablur and the Christmas trees in the squares; it is unbearably heavy to see the candles illuminating Yerablur and the fireworks lighting up the Armenian sky. But that is life; that contradiction is life. And the important thing is that we do not lose the boundary of that contradiction. We should not live only with losses, nor should we live only with gains; otherwise, we will lose the meaning of both gains and losses.”
