Vardenis Council Opposition Members Detained from Municipality

Vardenis Council opposition members were detained today from the municipality building. The police provided no explanation after the detentions, leaving unclear the reasons behind the actions taken against the council members.

“This is an absolutely unlawful action. Their purpose is to disrupt the council meeting. You personally witnessed that the police, led by the police chief, presented no grounds for detaining these individuals,” stated lawyer Varazdat Harutyunyan in a conversation with reporters.
