Robert Nalbandyan, Recently Returned from Captivity, Sustains Rib Fractures; Court Demands Extension of Pre-Trial Detention

The legal team from the 'Legal Path' organization, led by lawyer Siranush Sahakyan along with Ruben Melikyan and David Avagyan, has taken on the defense of two Armenian servicemen who were detained immediately after their return from Azerbaijani captivity on a pro bono basis. This was reported by the 'Legal Path' NGO.

It was announced that today at 16:00, a hearing will take place at the Yerevan court ‘Ajapnyak-1’ regarding the extension of the pre-trial detention for one of them, contract serviceman Robert Nalbandyan. He is accused under part 3 of Article 365 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.

It is also noted that Robert Nalbandyan has three minor children and sustained rib fractures as a result of beatings during his captivity in Azerbaijan.
