Iran Reinforces the Importance of Syunik in the Context of Armenian-Iranian Relations, According to Iranologist

Iranologist Vardan Voskanyan's statement:
“Iran is opening a consulate in Kapan. This is yet another signal of how important official Tehran considers the Syunik region of Armenia in the context of Armenian-Iranian relations.

The opening of our consulate in Tabriz, the center of Azerbaijan, will also be seen as a significant step toward strengthening Armenia-Iran relations and will serve as a clear message to the Baku regime.”
