Video: Prime Minister Participates in Informal CIS Summit in St. Petersburg

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in an informal meeting of the leaders of the CIS member states in St. Petersburg. The event was also attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, and CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev.

First, there was a photo opportunity for the participants of the meeting, followed by a welcome address from Russian President Vladimir Putin. The meeting discussed issues related to the development of cooperation within the CIS region, as well as measures aimed at the universal fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

Anna Popova, acting head of the Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing of Russia, presented a detailed report on the initiatives and steps taken against the coronavirus.

The meeting concluded with an informal lunch for the leaders of the CIS states.
