Peace and Calm Growing in Nagorno-Karabakh, Says Sergey Shoigu
Russian peacekeepers have accomplished complex tasks to stabilize the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was reported by Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu during a meeting at the military department, according to TASS.
“We managed to calm the situation there, and steps are being taken toward implementing planned work. We can already say it’s planned because life is gradually returning to this region. Peace and calm are increasingly prevailing,” Shoigu stated.
He expressed gratitude to all commanders, soldiers, and personnel for their service in Nagorno-Karabakh, Syria, and other areas.
“What happened in Nagorno-Karabakh a year ago, when the situation was extremely difficult, was overcome thanks to the efforts of the supreme commander and around-the-clock work,” he noted.
