Pashinyan's Statements Were a Birthday Gift to Aliyev, Says Vanetsyan
Pashinyan's press conference once again revealed his value system or, more accurately, its absence. This was noted by Arthur Vanetsyan, the leader of the "Honorable" faction, on his Facebook page.
He specifically wrote: “Regardless of whether Pashinyan made those statements intentionally (as a precondition) or, as usual, without considering the consequences, this was a birthday gift to his 'civilized and constructive' partner, Aliyev, who, on the same day, was establishing a new military unit in occupied Hadrut. Nothing here was coincidental; this was a continuation of a criminal chain of thoughts, distortions, and manipulations stated previously. Remember Pashinyan's statements regarding the same referendum, recall these so-called revelations that Pashinyan was discussing even in the National Assembly.”
“These manipulations and the distorted presentation of the history of the negotiation process is not new. But I would like to draw attention to another important aspect. It is clear, isn’t it, that what Pashinyan declares here for our public is also audible beyond Armenia's borders, and at the same time, he speaks the same way in his communications with international partners. Perhaps it is this particular stance of the Armenian Prime Minister that is one of the reasons why crucial issues concerning the status of Artsakh, de-occupation, and the security guarantees for the people of Artsakh are gradually disappearing from international documents. This is indeed a serious challenge for us.”
“Another significant point: in essence, this press conference and the subsequent Facebook posts once again confirm that Pashinyan today interprets elements of the negotiation process, applying clear manipulation, much more favorably for Azerbaijan than it has ever been interpreted even by the Azerbaijanis themselves. This puts the future of the negotiation process and the possibilities of protecting the interests of Armenia and Artsakh in serious jeopardy. As a result, I can clearly say there is no doubt that Pashinyan is fundamentally and completely intertwined with Azerbaijani interests. Yes, it is quite an important question whether this intertwining has been present from the very beginning or developed over time, but that question will be clarified after the investigation immediately following the removal of this government. Today, one thing is clearer than ever: Pashinyan and his team must leave immediately. They have not only shattered the foundations of our state and statehood but continue to destroy our and our children's future, every additional day and hour.”
“As a result of their statements and actions, the right to existence of Artsakh, and eventually, I am confident, of Armenia, is being put into question. As for the signals coming from Artsakh, I first note that I welcome the joint statement of the Ombudsmen and their prompt response. I also welcome the announcement from the Artsakh National Assembly, which was undoubtedly a necessary step, but I want to note that some of our partners in Artsakh should have stood much earlier in the positions of preserving and protecting their statehood. We will still have the opportunity to address the statement of Artsakh's President Araik Harutyunyan.”
