International Memorial in Russia Accused of Distorting History; Organization to Be Dissolved

The Supreme Court of Russia has decided to dissolve the International Memorial organization, which is recognized as a foreign agent in the country. Complaints had been lodged against it not only from law enforcement agencies but also from public organizations. According to the received complaints, the organization is labeled as a Western agent, engaging in distorting history under the pretext of preserving the memory of the victims of repression.
