VIDEO: Emergency Situations Ministry Releases Footage of Fire in Yerevan's Erebuni Street Building
On December 27, at 06:12, the Crisis Management National Center received a call reporting a fire in one of the apartments on the 9th floor of a building on Erebuni Street in Yerevan. Emergency response teams from the Fire and Rescue Department of the Emergency Situations Ministry were dispatched to the scene, including two firefighting units, one aerial ladder, and a duty group from the Fire Suppression and Rescue Operations Organization Department.
A complexity classification of "1 BIS" was declared for the fire, prompting three firefighting units to respond from the Fire and Rescue Department of Yerevan. Rescuers evacuated 40 residents from the building. The fire was contained by 07:22 and extinguished by 07:40. The building's roof structures (approximately 10 sqm) and one apartment on the 8th floor (approximately 40 sqm) along with its belongings, as well as the balconies of two adjacent apartments (6 sqm) with their contents were damaged.
The First Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations, Armen Pambukhchyan, was present at the scene.
