Iran Halts Land Communication with Turkey

The Iranian government has decided to suspend land communication with Turkey due to the situation caused by the Omicron variant of the Covid-19 virus. This was reported by Ermenihaber.am.

As such, road connections between the two countries have been suspended indefinitely. This announcement was made by Iranian state television.

According to the decision, Iran's borders will also be closed for 15 days to visitors arriving from England, France, Denmark, and Norway. Iran has also extended the ban on travelers from South Africa and neighboring countries.

It is noteworthy that approximately 131,000 people have died from Covid-19 in Iran.
