Civilian from Chartar Village Killed by Distant Gunfire, Reports Artsakh Prosecutor's Office
On December 3, Seyran Sargsyan, a resident of the Chartar community in the Martuni region of Artsakh, was killed by representatives of the Azerbaijani armed forces, according to the Artsakh Prosecutor's Office.
In connection with the incident, the Azerbaijani side presented a fabricated version claiming that Seyran Sargsyan, a citizen of the Republic of Artsakh, had supposedly attacked an Azerbaijani position and was allegedly neutralized a few meters away from the post.
The investigations and other procedural actions carried out as part of the criminal case reveal that Seyran Sargsyan was killed by a distant gunshot, after which Azerbaijani soldiers moved his body from the neutral zone to their combat position. This is also confirmed by the results of analyzing videos recorded by surveillance devices located near the crime scene.
The recent findings from criminal cases reaffirm the reality that Azerbaijani military positions located near peaceful civilian areas of Artsakh pose an immediate and real threat to the lives and essential rights of the community's peaceful residents.
