Black Ice and Snow: Emergency Situations Ministry Issues Warning

The Road Department Foundation informs that as of 16:00 on December 24, snowfall is recorded in the regions of Kapan and Meghri.

There is black ice in some sections of the highways in the regions of Aparan, Aragats, Spitak, Tumanyan, Hrazdan, Sevan, Berd, Gavar, Sisian, and Akhuryan, as well as on the Vanadzor-Dilijan and Horom-Artik-Alagyaz roads.

The Vardenyats Pass is passable for light vehicles, while it is difficult for heavy and trailer vehicles. Drivers of trailer vehicles are advised to use tire chains while traveling through the Vardenyats Pass.

The road construction teams are conducting snow removal and treatment with salt and sand on the roads. All interstate and republican significance roads are open.

To avoid accidents, incidents, and traffic jams, drivers are advised to travel with winter tires.
