Allow Me to Interrupt You for a Moment from the ‘Piglet’ Preparatory Investigations: Arman Abovyan
Former MP Arman Abovyan wrote: “Allow me to interrupt you for a moment from the ‘piglet’ preparatory investigations and inform you that Azerbaijani occupying forces have seized the sovereign territories of Armenia and Artsakh, where they are illegally conducting economic activities. A year ago, they were massively bombing our villages and cities, killing and continue to kill and abduct Armenians. They are trialing our captives in Baku and, alongside this, threaten us all with war if we do not behave ‘properly’ (that is, agree to their conditions).
The Azerbaijanis are inviting foreign companies to expand economic activities in the occupied territories of Armenia and Artsakh. I would also like to remind you that the current authorities of Armenia have not only failed to take lessons from their anti-national, anti-state, incompetent, and ineffective policies but, astonishingly, persistently continue to lead Armenia towards fragmentation, with all of us on a path toward emigration or becoming Turkish-Azerbaijani slaves, while calling their repeated disgraceful acts, calamities, and destructive processes the ‘opening of a peaceful era’.
I do not know, maybe they are bringing a peaceful era, but undoubtedly the fruits of that peace will be harvested only by their Turkish-Azerbaijani partners, but certainly not by Armenians, nor Armenia, nor Artsakh. In case the ‘peaceful era’ does not delay for the Turks, they are preparing, on one hand, to ultimately transfer the issue of Artsakh into Azerbaijan’s sphere of internal interests, while, on the other hand, they claim to ‘reconcile’ with the Turks, as if there had not been rivers of Armenian blood between us, but rather some ‘unpleasant incidents’ (this is the barbaric Turkish characterization of the Armenian Genocide).
In short, it feels as if we are under some sort of mass hypnosis. I am serious.”
