Governor Addresses Situation in Parakar

The governor of Armavir, Edward Hovhannisyan, considers the situation in Parakar unacceptable. The Armavir marzpetar (regional government) reports that Hovhannisyan, condemning the situation created following the local elections on December 5 in the unified Parakar community, calls on both parties to maintain calm.

“Esteemed representatives of political forces, dear residents of the Armavir region, I urge all of you to uphold tranquility, good sense, and mutual respect to avoid unnecessary escalation of tensions, illegal actions, and undesirable consequences. I ask you to wait for the conclusion of the legal processes,” the statement from the marzpetar indicates.
