How Many Members of Mardunia's New Political Team Earn Less Than 1.5 Million Drams? Arman Yeghoyan

In place of Hayk Marduni, I would point out so many omissions and mistakes, but to speak about a minister's salary, to say that a technocrat should be well compensated, while a minister overseeing 100 technocrats should not, is the cheapest populism. This was stated by Arman Yeghoyan, a member of the NA Civil Contract faction, on his Facebook page.

“So know this, previously, now, and in the future, a minister in Armenia will have two possible sources of income: 1) illegal - serving private business interests, kickbacks from millions of dollars passing through their hands, direct bribes; 2) legal - a salary allocated from the state budget, fixed on paper and visible to all.”

“In the case of Armenia, the revolution is precisely that the minister receives their salary as intended for their work from the state budget and does not steal money allocated for other expenditures of the state budget, does not appropriates state property as their own, does not abuse the state levers entrusted to them to gain additional income. It would be very interesting to know how many members of Mr. Marduni’s new political team earn less than 1.5 million drams a month and how many from this team are ready to work as ministers for a lower salary (provided that they do not have equivalent income from renting apartments abroad). We have seen ministers who work for 500,000 drams, and we have seen how much they burden the state,” he wrote.
