Dozens Dead in Turkey from Fake Alcohol

At least 60 people have died in Turkey due to counterfeit alcoholic beverages, according to Habertürk. In particular, incidents of poisoning from fake alcoholic drinks have been recorded in seventeen cities across Turkey over the past two weeks.

The highest number of cases has been reported in Istanbul, where thirty people have died in the last ten days due to poisoning from counterfeit alcohol. Currently, two individuals have been arrested in the northern Turkish city of Ordu on suspicion of alcohol counterfeiting.
